Sneak Preview

The boys are back to school today after a lovely long Easter holiday.  Here are their holiday diaries to give you a sneak preview of what we got up to in April.  Hopefully I'll catch up with my blog posts soon too!

Daffodils

My mother's day treat was a stroll in Richmond Park.  It was a lovely day for it and the boys had fun admiring the daffodils, looking for bugs and collecting sticks.  Spring is definitely in the air here especially since the clocks changed, making the evenings much longer.  The winter was mild this year with no real snow in London but we'll get our dose of the white stuff in the Alps next week!

Ooh-la-laa

French day is always fun at school because it everything is done a little differently.  This year the theme was French around the world, so each class was assigned a different French speaking country which the boys learnt about during the day's activities.  They did so many fun things like sport (boules), cooking (profiteroles), gardening (herbs), art (pick an artist), music etc.  A lot of effort goes into organising a day like this and that's one of the things that makes our school special.  They even had coq-au-vin for lunch!

And a few days later, Daniel had a pirate party

Football Champion

Isn't it great when you're pleasantly surprised by your child's achievements.  Danny got one of the only two medals for the Reception Football Club.  His medal was for the most improved player.  I can see why too, in the beginning he used to dance around and fight imaginary dragons, but now he plays like he means it and he is actually quite good.  He is unbelievably proud and excited and so are we!

Rendezvous in Oxford

Dad had a gaudy to attend at Lincoln College last Friday.  A good excuse for a trip to Oxford and a nice opportunity to hang out with some old friends.  It is such a lovely place!
