Chessington World of Adventures

Today we took advantage of some vouchers we got from a friend and went to see what Chessington World of Adventures is all about. It's massive and has everything that you would expect from a theme park plus a zoo and an aquarium. The latter were big hits with the boys as you can imagine and we found loads of fun rides that we could all enjoy together. The cherry on the top was definitely the Dragon Falls ride which Nicholas loved even though it terrified him at the time. I don't think we'll get a season pass but we definitely won't mind going there again again sometime.

London Town

We had an adventure packed day yesterday. The train from Putney to Waterloo was the first part of the expedition. For some that might be boring but for little boys it can be quite exciting. The main purpose of the outing was to do a cruise on the Thames with Claire, Phillipa, Annabel and Nanna. Nicholas enjoyed identifying the landmarks of the London skyline while Daniel pointed out all the boats on the river. After a bite to eat we bid farewell to our friends and went for a leisurely stroll along the South Bank checking out the street artists and musicians. I should have guessed that we would get stuck at the graffiti decorated skateboard park where Nicholas sat watching the skaters in total awe. At last it was time to fetch Dad from his office on The Strand and enjoy a drink in Covent Garden while soaking up the buzz. Then it was back to the South Bank for a splash about in the fountains to cool off before supper on the banks of the Thames. It was a perfect action packed day out and it left me thinking, like usual, that we should visit London Town more often.

Sun-shiny-days

We've been experiencing lovely weather for the last few weeks. Not only have the days been sunny and hot but the evenings have been long and lovely. As a result we've had plenty of opportunities to spend time with friends in the beautiful outdoor areas in close proximity to our house. As you can imagine the boys love every minute of it.
