And so the sports fixtures for Danny begin! A couple of weeks ago the Reception class had their first match against another school. The excitement amongst the parents and the boys was tangible. Danny can be a bit of a day dreamer and those of you have that have seen him dancing around on the beach will know what I mean. The little guy played really well and tried really hard to stay on the ball. He even scored a goal which caused even more excitement!
Their next match came just a week later against a different school this time. In the first match they were in teams of just 5 and the second one there were 7 in a team. So it was a bit more chaotic and unstructured second time around. Danny enthusiastically put his hand up to be in goal and unfortunately spent almost the whole match there. He was brilliant though and saved every single attempt at goal by the opposition - and there were quite a few. My nerves were really shattered and I breathed a sigh of relief when it was all over. What a performance!
