Dad turns 36!

It was Dad's birthday on Wednesday. It's never easy celebrating a birthday on a school/work day so we saved all the treats for the weekend. We had to have pancakes for breakfast as usual. The boys also wanted to bake a cake and with a bit of encouragement they decided on a carrot cake this year. I took a step back and let them do the decorating all on their own. A splendid effort I thought!

Dad turns 35!

All Dad wanted for his birthday was to spend a lazy weekend pottering around at home so that is exactly what we did. Of course there had to be a cake with candles and a lot of singing. Nicholas decided that we should make a lemon drizzle cake and let me tell you it was delicious!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Here we are celebrating Daddy's birthday with some scrumptious carrot cake. Nicholas couldn't understand why there was only 1 candle instead of 34 and he needed no encouragement to help blow it out. Daniel found it all quite intriguing. Happy Birthday to our best dad!
