Space

We always play a little game where we recite nursery rhymes, sing songs, find all the books in the house, do arts and crafts and go on excursions that have something to do with our chosen theme. Not only is it great fun for the kids, but it also helps me to have a focal point for our activities. I'm always amazed at the amount of knowledge they absorb, and dare I say it affords me the opportunity to learn some new things too. Nicholas is very interested in space at the moment and so, before we knew it, that became one of our themes for the month.

A visit to the Science Museum seemed appropriate. Even though Hubble in 3D was way over our heads it was a huge hit and resulted in a lot of questions and discussions. Twinkle Twonkle hit the nail right on the head too as it was geared towards kids that are curious about space. Now we can't wait to get to South Africa so that we can do some proper star gazing!
