Last weekend the boys had one of those unusual extra days off school and since it was close to mid-summer we thought a trip to the beach was in order.  A friend of mine told me about The Beach House. It happened to be available that weekend, and so were our friends, so off we went.  There's something to be said for listening to the waves all night night long and stepping off your deck onto the beach!

Low tide reveals some sand

Nicholas loves playing frisbee

And practising cricket

A break from bats and balls to build a sandcastle

The boys searching for sea creatures

Danny scouting for treasures

He was thrilled to discover an ancient anchor

It made him leap up and down

It's hard to keep this boy out of the sea

And this one wouldn't leave the beach, or the balls

Like big brother, little brother also loves balls


Daniel was determined to find a pirate ship

But settled for spying at the others from our bedroom balcony
