SA2011: Introduction Magogong

As you're well aware we went to South Africa for the Christmas holidays. It's always difficult for me to catch up on my blog posts when we get back I have so many nice photos because the boys have so much fun. I have finally managed to create a few blog posts about our week in Magogong. I am going to set the posts to be published one day next week while we are away (there 10 posts all in all so make sure you click on to see them all). In the meantime here are a few photos (they're not mine and I'm not sure where they came from) of one of my favourite places on earth!

I am yet to do our week in Wakkies followed by our last couple of days in Joburg. Similarly, I still haven't managed to do SA2010, but I remain hopefull that I will find the time because it was an awesome holiday and I love going back and looking at the photos. Anyway, watch this space, if you are interested!

SA2011: Cousin Love

The best thing about going home is spending time with family. This year we only had half a house of people at home which felt kind of strange. I loved the fact that Nicholas and Daniel got on so well with Noa and Emma and Stella. Nicholas adored Stella, and I think the feeling was mutual, it was so sweet to see. Everytime Danny saw Emma he wanted to give her cuddles and kisses. And both boys had great fun playing with Noa.

Shortly after we arrived

SA2011: Baptisms

We were very pleased that we arrived just in time for Stella and Emma's baptism. It's times like these that we usually miss out on because we live so far away but this time we were lucky to be part of the wonderful event. What two gorgeous, and priviledged little girls!

SA2011: The barber of Magogong

Deano is our personal barber in South Africa. The boys always arrive their with long city slicker hair and leave with short farm boy styles. I must say I can't decide which look I prefer. This approach is definitely a win win situation!

You'll see lots of 'after' shots in the posts to follow ...

SA2011: Farm Life

Isn't it funny how everyone takes things for granted in their every day lives. Here are some of the things that are just run of the mill for the Maplotters but for us they make life extra special. Next time you're doing any of these things in your daily life think of us and be thankful!

Picking and eating fruit and veg

Chasing and terrorising chickens

Discovering weird and wonderful critters

Driving and pulling tractors

Checking on the trees

Inspecting the cannals

Hanging out with Dad

Don't forget braaing

And Gogo of course

And swimming, trampolining, jungle-gymming,
As well as playing in the mud, fishing and The Boom
(but those deserve separate posts)
