One of the big free events was the cycling which passed very close to our house so it was always high on our list of events to attend. All the roads around our house were blocked off so we had a good excuse to stay local and make a day of it. The race went out of London in the morning and came back into London in the afternoon. The cyclists were all in a huge pack on the way out and a bit more spread out on the way back. It was great fun but quite an odd sport to watch - lots of waiting and then whoosh all gone - those guys move fast!
