SA2011: Mud Glorious Mud

The kids get properly dirty in Magogong, that's for sure. Mud was a big part of growing up for all of us so I love the fact that my boys can have a taste of that even if it only happens once a year. Sometimes it just starts off with a bit of sand and water. With cuzzies to show them the ropes and a lot of practice they soon became experts!

Thunderstorms are not uncommon there in summer and when it comes down, it comes down hard. I think Mo-Mo wanted to take a trip down memory lane when he smothered Daniel in mud from the puddles left by the rain. The poor little thing wasn't sure what was going on!

One day Gareth and Sanette offered to entertain the boys for us while we went to sort out some business in town. Well, they did an excellent job, because Nicholas and Daniel still talk about going on a 4x4 adventure in the landrover, the boat race in the furrow with mini rafts that they made and the mud mania that followed. The photos explain it all!
